Compare- Better is here and it's Local!

Built by Americans with American parts for you!

 WHY PAY MORE FOR LESS?

  • Latency (Ping Speed): The True Measurement of Internet Quality-  Latency—often called ping speed—is the most critical metric for your online experience, yet it’s often overlooked in favor of advertised “speed,” which usually means capacity or bandwidth. Unlike bandwidth, latency directly affects how responsive your connection feels in everything you do online. A lower ping means smoother gaming, clearer video calls, and faster streaming. Many AaroBand users find our lower latency and faster uploads deliver a better experience than even big city providers. Sometimes, local really is better.

  • Most providers often skimp on upload, which can be crucial for tasks such as video conferencing and uploading large files.  We built our network to be better, offering more balanced upload and download capacity and providing speeds that better suit users' needs.

  • While some ISPs focus on marketing high download capacity speeds, AaroBand delivers real value where it counts. We can provide 100-200 Mbps down to nearly all of our service areas, and have plans that start as low as $25. These plans can be matched to actual household use. Most families don’t need gigabit speeds; even with streaming, video calls, or remote work, anything extra won’t make everyday internet use noticeably faster.  Right-sized plans meet your needs and save you money, with most of our customers paying around $50 or less.

We offer a 30-day Free Try-It to let you check out our network.

Fiber-Link Versus Residential Fiber

Some might assume residential Fiber is faster with lower average latency than our Hybrid Fiber-Link network.... but wait, not so fast!

AaroBand’s Fiber-Link network combines advanced wireless last-mile connections with dedicated DIA fiber at the headend, delivering industry-leading latency—typically around 15 ms, which matches the industry average for residential fiber to the home. Even our $25 plans achieve this low latency, making a real-world difference for gaming, streaming, and video calls. While some assume residential fiber will always be superior, real-world measurements show AaroBand’s Fiber-Link matches these averages and competes at the highest technical level for everyday use.

  • Graph on the left above, the blue segment shows our wireless link latency (7–10 ms) and the green segment shows DIA fiber latency (5–7 ms), combining for an average of 15 ms—right in line with the national average for residential fiber, which typically ranges from 10–20 ms. Standard residential fiber (shown in gray) is often delivered over shared Passive Optical Networks.
  • The graph on the right shows our Fiber-Link intelligently managed network, unlike the shared passive (not smart-lightprisims) optical residential fiber.

Note: When comparing AaroBand to government-funded fiber, consider the true cost and value. Despite receiving nearly $6,000 per home, these providers rarely offer low-cost plans unless there is more government subsidy money (your tax dollars) available. AaroBand’s mission has always been about serving the Seward area with reliable speed, value, and local commitment—long before government-subsidized options existed.

Real value, not just “up to” speeds

AaroBand Verses SPACELINK

  • When folks shop for internet in the $40–$80 range — where most rural homes land — the story is really about value: how much usable capacity you get during the hours you actually need it. Real-world tests and user reports show Space Internet value Plans often slipping into the 30–50 Mbps range during peak hours.
  • AaroBand charts a different course — quite literally. Instead of sending your data to orbit and back like with SPACELINK, AaroBand uses local antennas tied straight into DIA fiber just a hop or two away. In that value-intensive $40–$80 bracket, the return is clear: our $45 Prime plan (60/30) very reliably delivers 50–60 Mbps or better during the crucial 6–11 p.m. window, and our $55 Premier plan (80/40) routinely lands around 65–80 Mbps or more at the very same busy hours.  AaroBand customers enjoy more real Mbps, steadier uploads, and far more usable capacity exactly when they’re relying on it.  If you're more focused on capacity, remember AaroBand offers up to 200 Mbps down plans, and they are still a great value, being well under $100 compared to SPACELINK's $120 plan.

AaroBand- Not bigger, just a better overall experience

Average Latency Consistency

  • AaroBand Max-100 / STARLINK-Residential test averages from Ookla
    •  According to Ookla’s Speedtest data, the median download rate for Starlink across the US is around 50-60 milliseconds. That’s significantly higher than the 13ms and 30ms that fixed and mobile users can receive, respectively. As a result, the high latency on Starlink can create lag, particularly for online gaming and live video streaming.
  • Cable / DSL / Cell / Rise are averages reviewed nationally and locally.

Ping speed is often overlooked but will impact the quality of your experience. Lower ping helps everything work better and faster.  Some tell us it is better than the big city national providers with our lower Ping and faster upload enabling a better experience from games to streaming.  Local can be better!

Upload: When you're posting a picture on Facebook you are uploading the picture.

Most providers offer upload speeds of 20 Mbps or less, which may seem enough but often falls short for tasks like video calls and uploading large files. We built our network to provide upload speeds two to three times the industry average, using a balanced 1:0.5 upload-to-download ratio. Most users won’t take full advantage of fully asymmetrical connections—more upload is good and needed, but asymmetry beyond this is overkill for most. Our balanced hybrid Fiber-Link delivers superior, reliable performance tailored to real-world needs without overspending on speed that most won’t utilize.
